Arm0ry is an internet-native community of buidlers crafting a multiplayer quest-to-earn journey for Web3 explorers (”Traveler”). This journey, called the Playground, aims to gamify open source development with rewards for (1) learning, (2) building, and (3) automating the Playground experience.

Learn
Skill Tree
Travelers starting on a new quest-to-earn journey will go on Web3 quests, level up on a task-based skill tree, and earn ERC20 tokens. As trying things out on the blockchain requires gas, Travelers will receive gas subsidies before embarking on this journey. Travelers will also receive an SVG NFT, dubbed “Traveler Pass,” which may be used to track learning progress and gain access to both online and offline events.

The quests aim to walk Travelers through Web3 fundamentals by showcasing a series of frequently-used-dapps, and work them up to more focused verticals like DAO, Defi, and NFT, where they will learn more about the emerging patterns within each track.
When quests are completed, Travelers will receive ERC20 tokens for their achievement, and they may use the tokens to submit and vote on Arm0ry proposals.
Build
As Travelers go on more quests and accumulate more reward tokens, Travelers will become Setters, unlocking abilities such as setting new quests for future travelers, adding new branches to the skill tree, and many more. With Web3 constantly morphing, Setters can govern the direction in which Playground and skill tree grow. Setters in return will receive token rewards when Travelers complete their quests.
In addition to setting new paths for Travelers, Setters with sufficient reward tokens may also apply for grants to work on public goods projects. As part of the small grants, we will offer technical assistance, mentorship, and access to a network of experts who can provide guidance and support. The goal is to empower people to take ownership of their own learning and development, while also encouraging participation and contribution to the Web3 ecosystem.
Automate
<aside> 💡 Contracts, laws, charters, constitutions, and other such agreements are mechanisms that organizations use to set rules between agents in a system in order to assure certain behaviors. This assurance can come from two places:

After going through “Learn” and “Build,” Setters looking for more may join Arm0ry to further automate Playground’s experience for future Travelers. By minimizing our reliance on socialware and increasing our usage of trustware, Arm0ry will be able to operate globally in a transparent, low-cost and efficient manner.
Taking on this progressively decentralized approach, Arm0ry plans to automate away as much of its operation to ensure the best possible experience for Travelers, both IRL and online. This could mean leveraging smart contracts to facilitate Playground’s operation in “Learn” as well as the grant process in “Build,” so that people can learn and apply for funding quickly and easily.
